Our faculty member Prof. Dr. M. Fikret Suner Library donated twenty-two boxes of books to the “Ağrı Central Library” and “Eleşkirt Vocational School of Higher Education Library” of the Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University to support the development of university library services.

Prof. Dr. M. Fikret Suner from Geological Engineering Department made field visits to the Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University with the Evaluation Team as the Head of the Delegation in the 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 terms within the framework of the Higher Education Quality Board External Evaluation Process. Within the scope of this process and in the context of the determinations made, our faculty member donated twenty-two boxes of books to the “Ağrı Central Library” and “Eleşkirt Vocational School of Higher Education Library” of the University, with the knowledge and encouragement of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK), in order to support the development of University Library Services.

The donation included works belonging to different engineering disciplines and social fields, from his family's extensive literature in French and English, dating back a century. Within the scope of this donation, YÖKAK President Prof.Dr. Muzaffer Elmas emphasized that the donation in question is a very important exemplary contribution within the scope of YÖKAK activities, especially within the framework of the main heading of Social Contribution; took this opportunity to express his thanks to Prof.Dr. M. Fikret Suner and the Rector of Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, Prof.Dr. Abdülhalik Karabulut, for their work in the realization of this contribution.

In this context, a special section was reserved within the University's Ağrı Central Library and Eleşkirt Vocational School of Higher Education Library. A corner was prepared and the donation content in question was displayed by grouping the books. An introductory board containing information about our department member Prof.Dr. M. Fikret Suner and his donation has been prepared.

This contribution of the İTÜ, which has very recently been granted in Institutional Full Accreditation Certificate by YÖKAK, is in the context of “Exemplary Practices”, which is an important component of institutional accreditation studies as well.
