by Halide Nur Dursun | Dec 24, 2024
In 2024, our undergraduate students who were entitled to receive various awards as a result of their studies.

The aim of this study supervised by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ş.Beste Aydın, was to contribute to sustainability by evaluating coal slimes abundantly present in facilities, thus reducing waste and enhancing their economic viability. To this end, the influence of various frothers and their mixtures on bubble size and subsequently on coal recovery from slimes was investigated. This study determined that instead of using large amounts of kerosene in the utilisation of coal slimes, it is possible to produce low ash coal with high combustible efficiency with frothers which have more positive effects in terms of economy and environment.

We congratulate Meltem Eke on this well-deserved success!
