The event was attended by ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, representatives of the TPAO, and the Dean of the Faculty of Mines, who met with students and exchanged views on petroleum production systems, surface equipment used in oil fields, and the importance of university–industry collaboration.
The pumpjack unit will provide students, in particular, those studying Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, Mining Engineering, and energy-related disciplines with a valuable opportunity to visualize and better understand field-scale production systems that are typically introduced in theory-based courses. Beyond its role in formal education, the installation will also function as a demonstration and outreach tool for academic visitors and prospective students.
This contribution strengthens the practice-oriented engineering education at ITU Faculty of Mines and represents a meaningful example of effective collaboration between academia and the energy industry.
