
Prof. Dr. Tuncay Taymaz, a faculty member in the Department of Geophysical Engineering at the Faculty of Mines, has been selected as an Associate Editor of the Earthquake Research Advances journal in the KeAi-Chinese Roots, Global Impact series.
Prof. Dr. Taymaz also became a member of the Editorial Team of the Earthquake Journal in 2025.

Prof. Dr. Şenel Özdamar, a faculty member in the Department of Geological Engineering at the Faculty of Mines, has been selected as an Associate Editor of the Geochemistry journal in the ScienceDirect series.

Prof. Dr. Seda Yolsal-Çevikbilen, a faculty member in the Department of Geophysical Engineering at the Faculty of Mines, has been invited to serve as an Editor for the European Geosciences Union (EGU) - Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences (NHESS) for the 2025–2028 term, specifically focusing on Earthquake Hazards.
Prof. Dr. Yolsal-Çevikbilen also became a member of the Editorial Board of the Tectonophysics (in the ScienceDirect series) and Editorial Team of the Earthquake Journal in 2025.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuna Eken, a faculty member in the Department of Geophysical Engineering at the Faculty of Mines, has been selected as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Seismology journal in the Springer Nature series.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eken further became a member of the Editorial Board of the Discover Hazards in the Springer Nature series in 2025.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amr Abdelnasser, a faculty member in the Department of Geological Engineering at the Faculty of Mines, has been selected as an Associate Editor within the Editorial Board of the Journal of African Earth Sciences in the Elsevier series.
The book titled “Gold Deposits in Egypt”, of which Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdelnasser, was one of the editors, was released from Springer Nature series in 2025.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Yasir Bashir, a faculty member in the Department of Geophysical Engineering at the Faculty of Mines, has been selected an Associate Editor for the internationally renowned journal IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing (TGRS).
